This young family in Battery City Park wanted to make a rental feel like home through fun styling and fresh furnishings without investing in pieces that wouldn’t transport well to an eventual future home. We styled and edited the existing space without changing any structural elements of the space, focusing on vignettes that elevated the space while increasing its functionality.
One of our favorite design moments: creating a dining room credenza that doubled as a small bar area – perfect for entertaining or making a quick cocktail just steps from the table. We also incorporated fun artwork on the nursery wall, bringing a bold prehistoric pop to an otherwise light and bright space. Kids’ spaces can feel sophisticated without feeling stuffy, and this apartment is proof of that.
